How to take care of your PotteryJo products – care advice for both stoneware and earthenware

Autumn is here! What about a cozy dinner party together with your nearest and dearest – without having to worry about difficulties when washing the dishes? PotteryJo guides you how to best take care of your stoneware and earthenware.

At PotteryJo we love to set the table. However, we like to do so without unnecessary difficulties. Our plates, platters and cups are created to last and to be used on a daily basis. This has resulted in one important parameter: all of our tableware can be washed in the washing machine. However, there are some guidelines worthy to keep in mind.

1) If possible, choose an eco-friendly program
It is not just better for the environment, it is also better for your PotteryJo products. The reason is simple: an eco-friendly program has lower temperature compared to a normal one, which benefits your tableware. Both stoneware and earthenware can be affected by excessive temperature changes.

2) Avoid drying modes on the dishwasher
This guideline is in line with the one above: your tableware should not be exposed to unnecessarily rapid temperature changes. A drying mode usually means a high temperature at the end of the program.

3) Do not let your products soak in water
Earthenware attracts some water which means that you should not let them soak. If some tricky food remains stuck on the glaze – do not soak the entire platter. Instead, rub the stains with dishwashing liquid before the machine wash and repeat the procedure if necessary.

Stoneware or earthenware? All of PotteryJo's tableware can be washed in the washing machine. Choose an eco-friendly program if possible – then you are good to go!
